An investigation continues into an accident on Route 34 on Wednesday morning but the Howell Police Department confirmed that one person was killed in the crash.
Detective Sgt. Eileen Dodd said the next of kin for the person killed had not been notified so the name is not being released at this time. Dodd had reported earlier that the roadway was closed between Route 33 and Naval Weapons Station Earle following the crash which occurred at around 7:05 in the morning.
