Water Main Break Causes Sporadic Outages in Town

The announced on its Facebook page that a water main break occurred in the area of Route 9, Aldrich Rd. and Winchester Dr.

The break was reported by the department at approximately 6:15. There had been reports of water outages on the Howell Patch Facebook Page around 4:20 this afternoon. As of 7:15 the police department was reporting work was wrapping up in the area and that there were only sporadic outages being reported at the time. 

New Jersey American Water was reporting on its website that 50 or fewer customers were without water as a result of the break. The report on the utility site said work began on the break at approximately 10:30 this morning.
