Budget Meeting Set for Wednesday

The howell Township Council will host a special meeting Wednesday night at 6 p.m. to discuss the budget for 2013. 

Earlier meetings were held with department heads and Township Manager Helene Schlegel. This is the first meeting with the council to discuss the financial picture for the upcoming year. 

The meeting is open to the public but the council could go into executive session during the meeting to discuss personnel matters. Those in attendance will be able to speak during the hearing of citizens but will not be allowed to participate in the actual budget discussions according to a statement on the township's website.
