Chamber to Host Election Events

Candidate forums and debates to be held

Starting this week the Howell  will be hosting and sponsoring a variety of events before November's general election.

With the Mayor's office, a seat on the council and three seats on the board of education up for grabs it figures to be a busy time in the township leading up to November.

The Chamber's Business Development Committee, which meets the second Wednesday of every month, will welcome Independent candidate for Mayor  to  at 11:45 this week. On Sept. 12 Democratic candidate  will be the speaker at the event and on Oct. 10 Deputy Mayor is set to round out the field ahead of election day.

For the Board of Education elections the Chamber will be sponsoring a debate on Sept. 20 at 7 p.m. at the old . There are currently six candidates seeking the three seats. The event is being moderated by the League of Women Voters.
