Gotto Named Deputy Mayor Again as 2012 Appointments Made

Some new faces among appointments made for year ahead

Going into Tuesday's reorganization meeting at Deputy Mayor William Gotto had a feeling he would be named to that position for the second year for 2012. He was proven correct as he was unanimously named to the second seat on the council, but there were also some changes made during the meeting.

Arguably the most noticeable came from the zoning and planning boards as none of the members whose terms had expired were reappointed to their respective seats. For the planning board, Robert Antonelli was named the designee of Mayor Robert Walsh. George Gravatt, the director of the township's Department of Public Works was named as the township official on the board and Stephen Johnson was named as a Class IV member to a four year term on the board. Brian Tannenhaus was also named as Alternate 1 for a two year term. Councilman Robert Nicastro will once again be the council's representative.

The zoning board also got two new full members and one new alternate. Edward Guz and Michael Sanclimenti were named to four year terms while Nino Borrelli will serve as Alternate 2 for a two year term.
