Hotel Application Winding Down With Zoning Board

It has been a long process that has on taken on several forms over many years but an application in front of Howell Zoning Board of Adjustment could finally be coming to an end.

The application, currently proposing a 4-story, 109 room hotel along with a 200 seat restaurant and 400 seat conference center has come with its share of questions. Located at the intersection of Route 9 North and Northwoods place, nearby residents have wondered what the additional traffic will mean to the already congested intersection. Others have voiced concerns over the proximity to Interstate 195 and the heavy traffic in that area as well.

Hearings on the application started back in January and continued with two more in May and a fourth hearing last week at the new Municipal Building.
