Howell Activates Emergency Operations Center

Administration is monitoring the track of Tuesday's storm from the Municipal Building.

As Tuesday’s storm continues the Howell Township administration has announced that as of 3 p.m. on Tuesday the Emergency Operations Center has been activated.

Information on the township website reports that the center allows the administration to “easily communicate and respond as quickly as possible to events, the collaborative environment lets the town reallocate resources as needed.”

There is no travel ban in effect as of 4 p.m. but motorists are encouraged to stay off the roads and avoid parking on the street in violation of township ordinances during snow emergencies.
