Permit Fees Waived for Storm Repair

Cost changes set for Tuesday meeting

The Mayor and Council will have their next meeting on Tuesday at 7:30 at the new Municipal Building and at least one item on the agenda will be meant to help those residents affected by Hurricane Sandy.

At Tuesday's meeting the council will memorialize a resolution waiving the "Township fees for permits and inspections of emergency repair damage upon proof from the property owner that the repair work is related to damage from the Hurricane Sandy," according to an email from the Township. The waiver will also apply to State permit fees according to the email.

Several residents saw their property damaged as a result of downed trees and wires caused by the storm. The email said the waiver will be good for two months following its adoption.
