Puglisi Farms Honored For Long History Of Community Involvement

Board of Freeholders honored family with certificate last week

Puglisi Farms was honored for their long history of community involvement by the county Board of Freeholders when the panel held its public meeting at Howell town hall last week, according to a release.

John, Michael and Paul Puglisi were presented with a certificate from the Freeholder recognizing the farm, and the family, for a long history of donations, volunteerism and civic involvement, the release says.

The family owned and operated Puglisi Farms has been a staple of Howell Township for more than 60 years. The farm has dedicated their time and donated their products to the community in an effort to combat hunger, according to the release. The local business to the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties in March.

“Puglisi Farms is a prime example of the generosity of the residents and business owners in Monmouth County,” Freeholder John P. Curley said in the release. “The Board has been sponsoring a food drive for the entire month of April and we are proud to recognize the Puglisi family for their outstanding efforts to end hunger as we continue to strive to collect food donations to assist the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties.”
