Six Candidates File for Three Seats in Farmingdale

Full terms and unexpired term up for grabs

It has been less than a year since the majority of members of the Farmingdale Borough Council resigned but with the June primaries coming up incumbents and newcomers are throwing their hat into the ring for three available seats.

Both of the Democratic Incumbents Carly Immen and Beau Byrtus have filed to run for more time on the council. Immen is running for a full term while Byrtus is running to complete the last year of the unexpired term after being appointed to replace Richard Geffken. Immen and Byrtus will be joined on the Democratic line by Jan Zientek who will also be running for a full term.

On the Republican side Michael Romano will run for a full term on the council while George Dyevoich will run for the other full term available.  Dyevoich was one of the members that was appointed by Governor Chris Christie following the resignations and narrowly lost his seat in last November's elections. Don Steinfeld will run for the one-year unexpired term.
