Board Recognizes Middle School South Students For Helping Others

Collected items for local food banks.

It has been a busy year across the district for all schools in the Howell Public Schools.

At Wednesday night's meeting of the Howell Board of Education a group of students from Middle School South was honored for their work collecting food for The Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties 6th Annual Holiday Hunger Challenge.

Superintendent Enid Golden, who showed an official proclamation from the New Jersey State Assembly, said the work done by the students was that much more impressive and needed in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. Golden also showed awards the students were given for their efforts in the challenge.
