Contenders Line Up For Seats On School Boards

Full slates in most races in regional high school district and local school board

Candidates have lined up to contend for seats on the local and regional high school district boards of education, election officials said Tuesday.

A trio of hopefuls is vying for the chance to represent Howell on the Freehold Regional High School District Board of Education in the November election. 

Amy M. Fankhauser, of 51 Richard Rd.; Scott A. Moses, of 24 Firestone Dr., and James T. Truszkowski, of 21 Rustic Dr. are running for the single open, three-year term on the regional board, representing Howell.

The three-year term representing Farmingdale on the regional board is uncontested. Kathie Lavin, of 24 Brook St., is the only candidate for the seat.

A whole parcel of candidates is vying for three seats on the Howell Township Board of Education.

Mark A. Bonjavanni, of 44 Salem Hill Rd.; Suzanne M. Brennan, of 59 Camelot Dr.; Mary Cerretani, of 39 Cherry Tree Circle; Ryan Klauder of 91 Heritage Dr.; Anna Kristjansdottir, of 11 Mouse Creek Ct.; Evelyn Malsbury O’Donnell, of 25 Casino Dr., and Jeanette Smith, of 28 Mouse Creek Ct., are all contending for a trio of three-year terms on the board.
