Free Training Program For Servers of Alcoholic Beverages

The DART Coalition – taking aim at substance abuse issues affecting  Ocean County – will host a free Training for Intervention Procedures (TIPS®) program for servers of alcoholic beverages on Friday, March 30, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Kimball Medical Center in Lakewood.

TIPS® is the global leader in education and training for the responsible service, sale, and consumption of alcohol, according to www.gettips.com. It is a skills-based training program that is designed to prevent intoxication, underage drinking, and drunk driving.

Each DART TIPS® training session will focus on assisting servers of alcoholic beverages to recognize the signs of intoxication, prevent the sale of alcohol to minors, handle alcohol-related situations with greater confidence, and use proven strategies to prevent alcohol-related problems.
