Newer scientific research has given us a fresh perspective on understanding the challenges and strengths of children and adults with ADHD and other learning differences. They have given us insightful working descriptions of Executive Functioning and how they are highly interrelated to symptoms associated with ADHD. This meeting will go over the basics of understanding ADHD from this different perspective. We all understand the major symptoms of ADHD are inattention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity. What's not well understood are the symptoms which are caused by poor executive functions. Come learn more about how this can explain why the difficulties seen with ADHD are more complex than one would think. We will be exploring suggestions to help with the day to day managing of this as as a parent and as an adult.
