Freehold Regional High School District's Tax Levy Passes

Two incumbents lost their seats, according to preliminary results

Voters approved the Freehold Regional High School District’s $115,600,253 tax levy, according to preliminary results from the Monmouth County Clerk’s Office. Unofficial results show 9,989 ballots cast in favor of the levy and 6,966 against.

In Howell, the unofficial results had the budget passing  3482 in favor to 2478 opposed. The district also passed its own budget while three challengers swept the two incumbents out and filling the one vacated seat. All those results are pending final certification.

Three three-year terms were also up for election this year: a Freehold Township seat, a Marlboro seat and a Colts Neck seat. Tom Caiazza, the Freehold Township representative to the board, did not seek reelection and no candidates were on the ballot for the seat. Write-in results were not immediately available, Freehold Township Clerk Terry Warner said.
