Howell Schools Preparing for Tuesday Snow

Early dismissal possible depending on track of the expected storm.

The Howell Public Schools are preparing for Tuesday’s winter weather to have an impact on the schedule for the day.

In a letter from Superintendent Enid Golden, with four inches of snow possible as of the forecast on Monday afternoon there may be a need for early dismissal on Tuesday. “A short-notice early dismissal is never ideal; however, the safety of our students and staff are always at the forefront of any decision.”

Golden said that should an early dismissal be required an alert will be sent to parents asking them to have someone at home to meet the students. Alerts will be sent through the district’s automated calling system, the Newsbytes email and through various media outlets including Patch. Information will also be posted on the district’s website as it becomes available.
