Howell Schools Set Early Dismissal Schedule

Dismissals start at 12:10 at the three middle schools.

The Howell Public Schools have announced that due to the arriving snowstorm all schools will run on an early dismissal schedule.

According to information posted on the district website the three middle schools will dismiss their students at 12:10 p.m. Students at Aldrich, Greenville, Griebling and Ramtown will be dismissed at 12:50.

The latest dismissals will be at 1:30 from Adelphia, Ardena, LOP, Newbury, Taunton and the afternoon Pre-Kindergarten classes. The morning pre-kindergarten classes will be dismissed at 10:50 on Tuesday morning.

The Freehold Regional High School District will also have an early dismissal today. Freehold, Howell and Manalapan High Schools will have dismissal at 12:08 p.m. Colts Neck Freehold Township and Marlboro High Schools will dismiss their students at 1:03. All after school activities and the RAISE Academy are cancelled for the day. 

There is no word as of 9 a.m. on Tuesday whether the storm will impact tonight’s meeting of the Mayor and Council but an email from the governing body encourages residents to be safe during what is expected to be a powerful storm. “As they always are, our Department of Public Works crews stands ready to plow streets again and keep our roadways as passable and safe as possible,” the message said. “However, please keep in mind that with the heavy snowfall anticipated and the blowing winds, it will be challenging to keep all of HOwell’s roads clear during the storm.”
