Local Students Recognized for Essay Contest Entries

A pair of local elementary school students were recently honored for their work in an essay contest sponsored by Assemblyman Dave Rible.

Farmingdale Elementary School student Olivia Gliem and Aldrich student Marisa Santamauro were among seven students that were recognized at a breakfast last month at the Breaker’s Hotel in Spring Lake.

To enter into the contest students had to answer one of two questions. They were asked if they were the governor how would they improve New Jersey. The second option asked why New Jersey is the greatest of all the states. The entries were judged on content, style and creativity.
