School Board Bids Farewell to 15 Retiring Teachers

Retirements of longtime teachers highlighted last Board of Education meeting of the school year

On Wednesday evening, the Howell Township Board of Education meeting dealt mostly with congratulating students on and making sure the board members are getting ready for next year. However, at the end of every school year comes a great deal of change as well, and the schools within the Howell Township School District are no exception.

At the meeting on Wednesday, 15 different individuals had their retirements accepted by the board, with all of them being thanked for their services and all of the retirements being accepted with “regret.”

Ending her term this year as the principal of Greenville School is Wilma Cubero, who will have her final day at the school set for Sept 30.
