BlueClaws Home for Season Finale

Final four games start tonight

With the Lakewood BlueClaws all but out of the South Atlantic League playoff picture, the local team will come home tonight for a quick four game series before heading home for the winter.

The team will welcome the Greensboro Grasshoppers to town for the game and will bring plenty of excitement to the fans as the season winds down. The last Friday night game of the season means at least one more fireworks display for the fans to enjoy.

Tomorrow night, the first 2,000 fans at the ballpark will bring home a Mickey Morandini bobblehead doll as the team marks the end of his first season at the helm of the Claws. Following that game, the team will play a rare Sunday night game at 7:05 and will have another fireworks show before the season wraps up in addition to a kids eat free game.

The BlueClaws will also celebrate Labor Day with their fans on the last day of the year. On Fan Appreciation Day one item each inning throughout the ballpark will cost just $1. It will also be the final kids eat free day of the year.
