BlueClaws Making Short Trip Home

Team to play three games before heading back on the road

The will not be home long, but the Lakewood BlueClaws are back in town tonight and will be back on the road before the weekend starts. 

Having lost their last eight games in a row the Claws will be looking to turn their fortunes around with three games against the Lexington Legends. All three games start at 7:05 at FirstEnergy Park. 

Whether they win or lose the local minor league affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies will be providing plenty of entertainment for their fans. The first 2000 fans at tonights game will get their very own Bucket Hats inspired by Carl Spackler from the movie Caddyshack as part of Golf Day. It is also a Senior Tuesday where all seniors eat free and will have the chance to play Baseball Bingo.

Wednesday fans will have a chance to show off their dancing feet when Mark Ballas from "Dancing With the Stars" will be at the park to sign autographs. Fans will have a chance to line up when the gates open and the special guest will sign autographs following the National Anthem.

The three game series wraps up on Thursday night with the team's Summer Concert Ticket Extravaganza. Fans will have a chance to win tickets to see some of the biggest names at the game. The list of tickets that will be up for grabs can be found here.  It is also Thirsty Thursday at the park which means $1 for beer and soda in the Coors Light WRAT Trap.

After the quick stop at home the BlueClaws will play four games at Delmarva before coming home for a longer stretch of games. They are slated to return home on Monday when they will welcome the ShoreBirds for a double header as part of a five game series. The home stand will continue with four games against the Hickory CrawDads. 

Heading into tonight's game the Claws have a record of 19-37 which leaves them near the bottom of the South Atlantic League Northern Division standings. The midway point of the season comes on June 19 when pitcher Colin Kleven will be the lone member of the team to take part in the SAL all star game.
