BlueClaws Remember Sandy as Exciting Season Starts

Team to help Sandy victims throughout the year

As our area continues to rebuild from the affects of Hurricane Sandy the Lakewood BlueClaws will be back in town and back in action for another year of South Atlantic League baseball this week. As part of the festivities the team will continue to work to support people who were affected by the storm.

The future Philadelphia Phillies will celebrate Opening Day on Thursday when the Kannapolis Intimidators come to town for a four game series.

BlueClaws players will wear special Restore The Shore jerseys during the opening weekend. The jerseys will have the names of towns that were impacted by the powerful storm. During the weekend a silent auction will be held for the jerseys with the money benefitting the BlueClaws Charities relief efforts. More information on the auctions can be found here.
