Home Schedule Winding Down for BlueClaws

Plenty of excitement still ahead for local squad

With the Lakewood BlueClaws still in the hunt for a spot in the South Atlantic League playoffs every game becomes more important as the season continues. 

Starting tonight the BlueClaws will be back at FirstEnergy Park for one of their final times of the regular season. 

When they take on the DelMarva Shorebirds tonight the first 2,000 fans will receive a free BlueClaws mousepad just for coming out to the game. It also is a Kids Eat Free night for the younger fans at the park. Tuesday night is a Senior Day game and the BlueClaws will also host a "Bobblection."

There will be 500 Barack Obama bobbleheads and 500 of Mitt Romney. Fans will then have the chance to get the bobbleheads and the first candidate to have theirs gone first will be declared the winner. 

With back to school just around the corner the BlueClaws will be giving out insulated lunch bags to the first 2,000 fans younger than 17 as they wrap up the series with the Shorebirds.

When the Kannapolis Intimidators come to town on Thursday night the first 2,000 fans will receive a BlueClaws clothes hamper for coming out to support the team. There will also be some four-legged entertainment as Chase and Derby from the Trenton Thunder show off their bat dog skills for the locals. It will also be another Thirsty Thursday with $1 beer and soda in the Coors Light WRAT Trap. 

Friday night will be another fireworks spectacular and on Saturday the first 2000 fans will receive a free BlueClaws visor. Fans will also have a chance to win tickets to some of the top sporting events at the game. 

Sunday's game starts at 5:05 and the first 2000 fans through the gates will get a baseball autographed by a BlueClaws player. The first 500 fans under 17-years-old will also receive a gift card courtesy of Monmouth Mall and all fans 12 and under will have another chance to eat free at the game. 

After a quick three-game trip to Delmarva the team will come home on Friday for one final four-game series with the Greensboro Grasshoppers.
