"Pack The Track" Fan Appreciation Night At Wall Stadium

Route 34 auto racing track slashing ticket prices on Saturday

Nearby Wall Stadium is discounting tickets for Saturday’s auto races in a “Pack the Track’’ fan appreciation night, track officials said.

Adult tickets will be $12, $6 for kids 8 to 16 years old and free for those aged 7 and younger.  Adult tickets are normally $18.

Two 35-lap main events are scheduled for the Modified stock cars, as well as racing in the Sportsman, Factory Stock, Legend cars and the new 4-cylinder division. An on-track party where fans can meet the drivers and look close-up at their cars is also planned, according to a stadium release.

The pair of 35-lap Modified main events are pivotal in the race for the 2012 driving crown. Former champions Anthony Sesely of Matawan and Chas Okerson of Freehold are at the top of the point standings, but top runners Shanon Mongeau of Farmingdale, Steven Reed of Freehold, Shaun Carrig of Little Falls, Adam LaCicero of Lavallette and Ken Woolley, Jr. of Howell are all expected to be in the field, the release says.

Grandstand seating will open at 5:00 p.m., qualifying will start at 5:30 p.m. and the on track party will start at 6:00 p.m. Modified time trials and all main events will follow, the release says.
