Howell Gymnast Taking Her Talents to Quinnipiac

Freehold Township High senior Samantha Gormley signs National Letter of Intent with Connecticut School.

As she wraps up her final season with the Freehold Township gymnastics team senior Samantha Gormley recently set her sights on continuing her academic and athletic careers at the college level.

The Patriot standout recently signed a National Letter of Intent to take her talents about three hours up north to Quinnipiac University where she will join the school’s Acrobatics and Tumbling team.

The Howell resident has been competing in gymnastics since she was just 4-years-old and is currently the captain of the local high school team. During her time on the high school mats she has earned All Shore honors twice.

Outside of school she is a member of Devlin Gymnastics where she is coached by Jaime Reilly-Solheim and Jaime Schnering. She has been a two-time USAG Level 9 Regional qualifier and a Level 9 Nationals first alternate. She trains as a USAG Level 10 gymnast at Devlin currently.
