Rebels Fall Short in Loss to St. Joseph's

Howell plays Freehold Township on Friday night

The Howell Rebels took a break from Shore Conference play this weekend when they made the trip to St. Joseph’s of Metuchen for a game against the Greater Middlesex Conference squad taking their second tough loss in a row.

By the time the game was done Howell was on the short end of a 42-12 score looking forward to Friday night’s contest against their rivals from Freehold Township.

Howell quarterback Connor McGlynn did his best to keep the team in the game as he completed 17 of 34 passes for 195 yards with one touchdown and one interception. For a player that has also been one of the leading rushers on the squad McGlynn was credited with 12 carries on the day with a total of negative 29 yards rushing after he was pressured by the home team defense.

Nate Litowsky was the leading rusher for his team with three carries for 15 yards. McGlynn’s favorite target on the day was Joey Schultz who had seven catches for 87 yards while John DeMarco had four catches for 53 yards.
