Spadola's Story Featured in ESPN Segment

Spadola starred at Freehold Township and currently plays for Miami Dolphins.

Howell resident Ryan Spadola made a name for himself on the football fields of the local Pop Warner league and then Freehold Township before heading to Lehigh University has now found himself on the national stage.

Spadola first signed with the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent before signing with the Miami Dolphins practice squad following his release. Spadola was recently elevated to the active roster and on Monday was featured in a segment that aired on ESPN and was also posted on their website. The story deals with Spadola’s life in football and growing up including the suicide of his father.

Spadola is scheduled to return to MetLife Stadium with the Dolphins when they take on the Jets. The team was in action on Monday night in a game against instate rival Tampa Bay Buccaneers
