Students Recognized for Volunteer Work

State award comes after considerable work

The school year is winding down but two students at were recently honored for their work helping others in the area.

Tom Mullens and Drew Kinghorn received the New Jersey Governor's Jefferson Award at a recent ceremony. The students volunteered for Project Tent City for their work in neighboring Lakewood.

Under the leadership of Mullens and Kinghorn a group of students regularly made the trip to Tent City and provided a variety of services. One of the key parts of the project was making sure the residents had at least one meal every week.
