Another Week Brings More Hotel Hearings to Howell

The application to possibly build a hotel at the intersection of Route 9 and Northwoods place continues to crawl to a conclusion with another hearing scheduled at the new Municipal Building on Monday night.

If approved the plan would bring a 4-story, 109 room hotel to the township along with a 200 seat restaurant and a 400 seat conference center. The current application started in January but is really the continuation of years of potential plans at the intersection near the entrance to Interstate 195. The application continued just last week and there is a chance the plan could be voted on at least by the end of the summer if not sooner.

The Howell Board of Education will also meet on Wednesday night. It is the first meeting of the summer with an unusually light agenda so far for the board members.
