Budget Presentation in Howell on Thursday

With Election Day on Tuesday the Howell Township administration is already looking forward to next year and the budget for 2014.

On Thursday morning at 9 a.m. there will be a presentation of the proposed budget for the upcoming year. This is the first budget since the unexpected resignation of former Township Manager Helene Schlegel and the appointment of Chief Financial Officer Jeffrey Filiatreault as Interim Manager.

Voting on Tuesday will be held at polling places across the township. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. until 8 p.m.

When the government work is done the Howell Public Library will be hosting a concert on Saturday featuring Fred Lehotay and The Ragtimers. The concert will start at 2 p.m. and the group includes guitar, banjo and bass players from a group that has been playing around the area since 1968.
