Calgo Gardens Application Leads Zoning Agenda

A look at events happening in and around Howell this week.

With the special primary election being held this week the Howell Township Council opted to move their regularly scheduled meeting to next week but there is still plenty to do in town over the next few days.

The Zoning Board of Adjustment will hold the first of two meetings this month on Monday night at 7:30 with two items on the agenda. One of the applications is from Calgo Gardens on Adelphia-Farmingdale Road near the Freehold border. The company is applying to add an addition to an already constructed building allowing for the opening of a cafe.

Calgo Gardens will also be the site of the weekly breakfast bonanza hosted by the Howell Chamber of Commerce. The meeting starts at 8 a.m. and is a chance to meet other people involved in the local business scene.

The Howell Home Depot will be hosting another in a series of events to help the do-it-yourselfers. Thursday’s 6:30 class will be a Do-It-Herself special about how to make a chore chart from a project originally seen on Pinterest.

Just down Route 9 the Target in Howell will be the site of a “Stuff the Bus,” school supply drive sponsored by the United Way. The bus is scheduled to arrive around 10 a.m. and shoppers at the store are invited to purchase and donate new school supplies to the effort.
