Familiar Faces Mark Howell Reorganizations

Council and board of education holding meetings Tuesday night.

The Howell Township Committee and Howell Board of Education will start their years on the same date this week marking the beginning of a one year unexpired term of Councilman Bob Walsh and the return to the dais of board member Mark Bonjavanni.

Walsh, who is completing the remainder of the term held by Mayor Bill Gotto will keep a familiar face on the council for at least one more year and the council starts the year with a busy agenda.

One item on the agenda is to ratify a contract with the Howell Township Transport Workers Union, the first of several contracts that the administration will be negotiating this year. There is also an agenda item to authorize the execution of an agreement with Centex Homes and Quick Check for a traffic signal and sewer connection at Colts Neck Road and Route 33. The construction of a convenience store and gas station has been held up in a court battle for several months.
