Hotel Application Continues Monday in Howell

A look at events happening in Howell this week.

When the Howell Zoning Board of Adjustment meets on Monday night it could be the final hearing in the application to build a hotel on Route 9.

The application has been heard nine times before including a meeting last week and could come up for a vote when the board meets at the new Municipal Building tonight. Depending on how the board proceeds with the application there are also two other applicants hoping to be heard at the meeting. A company called TIPMICH owned by Christopher Pozo is looking to convert a multi-family building located at 1060 Route 33 into a commercial office and warehouse. The application was first heard last month and was adjourned for further hearings.

Monday’s board meeting is part of a quiet week at the Route 9 building with offices being closed on Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday.
