Howell BOE Meeting Wednesday

A look at events happening around Howell This Week

Now that the school year has started the Howell Public Schools Board of Education will be back at work on Wednesday for its second meeting of September. Items on the agenda include an announcement by Superintendent Enid Golden about Howell Township Education Foundation Grant winners and a video presentation on an extended school year.

Also on Wednesday the Howell Public Library will be hosting a presentation by Tammy Weiss. The program is called “Your Path to Better Health: An All Natural Approach to Health & Wellness.” Weiss is a Howell resident and an Isagenix health coach. She is scheduled to begin speaking at 7 p.m.   

On Saturday the Howell High School Marching Rebels are scheduled to host a garage sale from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. The sale is scheduled to be held at 3 Standish Drive.

The band will also be hosting a “Flap Jack” Fundraiser at Applebee’s on Route 9 on Sunday morning starting at 8 a.m. The cost is $10 per person and includes pancakes, eggs, bacon or sausage, coffee and juice.

Proceeds from the two fundraisers are being used to help the team travel to Disney World for a scheduled performance in April of next year.
