Ninth Hotel Hearing Monday Night

A look at events happening in Howell this week.

The Howell Zoning Board of Adjustment members will see some familiar faces at Monday night’s meeting with another hearing on an application to build a hotel on Route 9.

The application, which is for a 4-story, 109 room hotel, a 200 seat restaurant and a 400 seat conference and banquet facility would be built at the intersection of Route 9 North and Northwoods Place. Hearings on the application have been held throughout the year, starting in January and continuing in May, June, July, August and September.

While the zoning board will be meeting the Planning Board meeting which had been scheduled for Thursday has been cancelled.

After a busy week the Howell Elks will be hosting a chicken parm dinner to raise money for local resident Graysen McDow. The $10 donation will be used to offset medical and therapy costs for Graysen, an 8-year-old cancer patient who has been battling the disease for two years already. She has undergone 24 weeks of chemo and six weeks of proton radiation therapy as well as many surgeries. The dinner will be held at the Elks Lodge on Ramtown-Greenville Road at 5:30.
