Snow Showers Possible in Thursday Forecast

A look at the forecast for the week ahead.

The forecast for the end of 2013 calls for some cool clear days but we may not have to wait too long for the first snowfall of 2014 to arrive according to the National Weather Service.

Today should be the warmest day of the week with a high near 41 under a mostly clear sky before dropping to a low near 19 at night. The last day of the year will be a chilly one with a high near 38 degrees with winds blowing between 11 and 16 MPH in the morning.

For those brave enough to head into Times Square to see the ball drop jackets will be required with a low near 21 expected on New Years Eve. A partly cloudy night will make way for a partly sunny day on Wednesday with a high of just 31 expected. The low for Wednesday night is expected to be a brisk 25 degrees and mostly cloudy.
