BOE Election Endorsement From Long Time Resident

Zig Panek Current BOE Finance Committe member and long time Howell resident endorses Tim O'Brien, Amy Fankhauser and Nancy Donio for Howell Township School Board members. .

As a resident and citizen member on the Finance Committee of the Howell Board of Education I am actively engaged in our school district. I believe I have a pretty good understanding of what it takes to successfully represent a large, diverse, and growing school district. This past year, I worked with Tim O’Brien and other members of the Finance Committee to return $1,000,000 back to the taxpayers of Howell to produce a flat tax rate from the school board. Mr. O’Brien is committed to producing a quality education for our children but at the same time he is aware
of the financial strain on the taxpayer. Understanding this, I endorse and support the efforts of Tim O’Brien but he needs the help of Amy Fankhauser, and Nancy Donio as they also seek the office of Howell Township School Board members.

Tim, Amy, and Nancy have demonstrated their commitment to our community through ongoing service as active members and volunteers in our school district. Being so active in our schools gives them a direct connection to the challenges that our school district is facing.

Tim,Amy, and Nancy are effective listeners who will serve their constituents with
respect and will address their concerns. Tim, currently the board president, is a proven problem-solver who understands that all constituents deserve his full
attention, and he will deliver just that to their issues and problems. Having
operated a successful financial planning business for a number of years, Tim has demonstrated he has the tools and insight to make prudent and responsible budget decisions that are critical to our community.

Amy is a hawk and stickler for detail.  Her former experience as an Attorney for the New Jersey School Boards Association, active membership on the Policy Committee for the past four years, and as School Board Liaison to the Town Council for the last two years, among her other volunteer efforts, demonstrates her commitment to those issues and causes that are important to our community.

Lastly,Nancy is a long time activist for our children. Nancy is a current member of
the Education/Educational Technology Committee and she served on the Finance
Committee as well.  Like Tim and Amy,Nancy is a long time resident and committed volunteer. Nancy exhibits qualities and commitment to our community second to none. While all of the qualities that I have listed above make Tim, Amy, and Nancy worthy candidates, the most important reason I’ll be voting for them on November 6th is that they all have the heart of a public servant. I ask you to please join me in supporting Tim O'Brien, Amy Fankhauser and Nancy Donio.
