Bon Denson, 65, of Howell, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Bon was born in Quitman, Georgia and had lived in Somerset before moving to Howell in 2005. She was a computer operator for General Motors Insurance for over 30 years retiring in 2003. Bon is the widow of Harold Denson who predeceased her on August 23, 2003 and her sister, Phyllis Tillman. Helen Roselle, 88, of Howell Township, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Ocean County Medical Center at Brick. Helen was born in Newark and had lived in Belleville before moving to Howell Township 25 years ago. Before her retirement, she was a cookie dropper at Famous-Amos Cookies in Nutley, NJ. She was a parishioner of The Church of St. Veronica in Howell and a member of the Howell Senior Center. Helen was predeceased by her husband, Louis Roselle in 1983 and a grandson, Danny Valle in 2009. John M. Ferrador, 73, of Howell Township passed away Saturday, May 4, 2013 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was born in Elizabeth and lived most of his life in Cranford. John had also lived in Hazlet before moving to Howell Township in 2000. He was an Electronics Technician for over 20 years. During his career, he had been employed by a number of companies including Audio Visual Labs in Atlantic Highlands and EWC Controls in Englishtown. He retired in 2001. John, who enjoyed sailing with his family, was a former member of the Hazlet Township Zoning Board of Adjustment, a former Weeblo Leader for Cub Scout Pack 137 in Hazlet, and a communicant of the Church of St. Veronica. DiDia, of Jackson, died suddenly Wednesday
Salvatore DiDia, 54, of Jackson died suddenly on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was born in Glen Ridge and lived in Howell before moving to Jackson. Salvatore was a heavy equipment mechanic for Gardner M. Bishop, White Plains, NY for the past 30 years. He was a member of Teamsters Local # 560 in Union, as well as a member of the Central Jersey Rifle & Pistol Club and Howell Trap Club. Walter M. Reed, Sr., 88, of Lakewood passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick. Walter was born on May 18, 1924 in Long Branch and was a lifelong Freehold area resident. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II and Korea retiring after 21 years of service at the rank of Master Sergeant. Walter was then employed by the US Post Office in Farmingdale and the Monmouth County Park System. He was a life member of the American Legion Post 2000 and the Adelphia Fire Company. Jean M. Horner, 83, of Howell passed away at her lifelong home surrounded by her children on Friday, April 5, 2013. Jean was born in Lakewood and was a lifelong Howell resident. She had worked for New Jersey Bell before becoming a Medical Assistant at Ocean Urology in Lakewood until her retirement in 2004. Jean was a lifelong member and served as an Elder and a Sunday school teacher and belonged to the quilting group at Hope Presbyterian Church in Lakewood. Suzanne E. Lucey, 84, of Howell passed away at home on Sunday, March 24, 2013. Suzanne was born in North Bergen, NJ and had lived in Lakewood before moving to Howell 15 years ago. She was a certified nurse’s aide at Paul Kimball Hospital, Lakewood for 28 years before retiring in 1991. She was born to the late Dominick Sammarco and Rose Crispo Sammarco on October 23, 1924, in Asbury Park, NJ and had lived in Neptune and Freehold before moving to Howell 8 years ago. Sara graduated from Asbury Park High School and Newark State College. She obtained her Masters of Science in Education from Monmouth University. Mrs. Pizzulli taught kindergarten at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Elementary School from 1959-1972 and First Grade at Wanamassa School from 1972 until she retired in 1994.
