Homemade Goods Being Collected for Displaced Sandy Residents

Non-profit Blankie Depot is looking for newly made blankets and collecting donations at the Monmouth County Library.

Blankie Depot, a volunteer run 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is looking to give back to those affected by Hurricane Sandy. The company aims to provide homemade blankets to the children of New Jersey who suffer from illness or trauma. At the moment, Blankie Depot is looking to collect large quilts, knitted or crochet hats, scarves, gloves, mittens, children's quilts, fleece blankets, sewn pillow cases, afghans and flannel robes. A collection bin is currently located at the Monmouth County Library (near the DVD room) in Manalapan Township from now until January 31, 2013. Blankie Depot requests that all donations be newly made, machine washable, and cleaned before being donated. Can't make it to the Monmouth County Library? Directly send…
