Adelphia Students Tip Their Caps to Cancer Research
Program helps raise funds for national organization
One of the first rules in just about any school that students have come to learn well is that they cannot wear caps or hats or anything on their head during the school day. Students at Adelphia School were not only able to break that rule but were encouraged to do so as part of the Hats Off For Cancer "Mad Hatter Month," in October. Students in the school were asked to bring in new or gently used headgear and any monetary donations they wanted to make to the program. By the time the month was done the school had collected more than 400 caps to give and $182.
