Howell Man Faces Drugs, Computer Crimes Charges

Charges stem from separate incidents in two towns

A Howell man faces a host of charges stemming from two separate incidents in a pair of towns, according to arrest warrants.  Nicholas G. Moran, 23, of Sylvan Ave., was charged by Howell Police with third degree theft and third degree computer crime for accessing someone else’s PayPal account, which was tied to a bank account, and making $4,672.59 in fraudulent online purchases between April 2 and April 18, the warrants say. Moran is also charged with a slew of drug offenses stemming from an April 19 arrest in Wall Township. Moran is charged with third degree heroin possession, fourth degree possession of oxycodone without a prescription, possession of hypodermic needles, possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug …

Police: Marijuana Farmer Arrested After Hunt

Man charged with operating a growing facility out of a Danella Way home

The man police have been looking for in connection with a large-scale marijuana farm found in a Danella Way home last week has been arrested, authorities said. Guillermo D. Fabian, 33, who rented the 67 Danella Way home where on April 11, 32, 6-foot-tall marijuana plants were found in what police called a “full-scale marijuana growing facility’’ operating at the home was arrested and jailed on Tuesday. No one was home at the time of the early-morning raid, police have said.  An arrest warrant does not say where or how Fabian was located. Warrants were issued for Fabian's arrest following the discovery of the marijuana facility. Fabian turned himself in this week, according to Eileen Dodd, Howell Police spokeswoman. This is not something that should be cursed at. Its o.k., to state your opinion , after all this is the United States and we do have freedom of speech. This is a safeway to grow marijuana where it cannot be found by your children and taken or stolen and then used by them. Freehold Resident Injured in Howell Crash

Driver reportedly not wearing seatbelt

A crash on Fort Plains Road left an 18-year-old Freehold resident with minor injuries to her leg and shoulder after she was reportedly not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash.  Detective Sgt. Eileen Dodd of the Howell Police Department reported that at around 9:20 on Friday morning Elaina Malfa was driving south on Fort Plains Road when she crossed the center lane while coming around a bend. At that time she struck a 2013 Ford Escape which was being driven by 47-year-old Ellen Caruso-Garland of Jackson.  Malfa's car reportedly skidded out of control after impact and overturned several times before hitting a 2006 Acura TL driven by Michael Tamburrino, 42, of Jackson.  Dodd said after the accident Malfa was taken to CentraState …

Howell Authorities Respond to Route 9 Accident, Gas Station Blaze

Driver suffers seizure, inadvertently causes car accident and gas station fire

A two car-accident and related gas station fire at the intersection of Route 9 and Aldrich Road snarled traffic in the area early this afternoon, according to the Howell Police Department. Howell Police, Southard Fire Department and Howell Police EMS all responded to the scene of a gas pump in flames at the Gulf Station at around 1 p.m. today, which emergency communications indicated was the result of a motor vehicle collision. “At 12:57 p.m., Tracy Stanton, 33, of Tinton Falls, operating a 2012 Chevrolet Impala, was in the Aldrich Plaza when she suffered an apparent seizure. Monday Crash Caused Major Delays on Route 9

One serious injury in afternoon accident

Traffic on Route 9 was backed up on Monday after an accident near the intersection with Stanley Blvd.  Sgt. Joseph Markulic of the Howell Police Department reported that Henry Ayoung, 85 of Howell, was driving a 2012 Chevy Cruz southbound on Route 9. Ayoung then reportedly hit a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Dwana Lada, 44, of Brooklyn NY from behind. Markulic said after hitting Lada's car Ayoung "continued south in an erratic behavior," at which time he hit a 2007 Hyundai driven by 54-year-old Elaine Dymyd of Howell. Ayoung's car continued in the shoulder before hitting Audrey Hassan, 54, of Howell in the rear of her vehicle. Ayoung's car then overturned just south of Stanley Blvd. according to Markulic.
