Howell Council Closes a Chapter with Town Hall Meeting

October 16 meeting to be held at new building

When Mayor Robert Walsh gaveled Tuesday night's council meeting into adjournment he did so for what will likely be the last time at the Preventorium Road Town Hall.  The next time the council is scheduled to meet the plan is for that to be the first meeting in the new Municipal Building, formerly known as the Global Building. As they sat at the dais for the last time some members of the council looked back fondly at their time in the building while looking forward to the future.  Councilman Juan Malave said in his time on the council the building has been a special place for him and the residents of the township. What would you like to see done?

You must be from Staten Island with that Idea. The buildings are in a rual sensitive area near the Manasquan reservior, Allire State Park, and you want public housing. there? How nice. First there are no sewers in that area so do you expect to run sewer lines there and destroy one of the most beautiful areas in Howell?   more ›
