Jackson Police Arrest Howell Resident on Drug Charges

Charges include possession and distribution of narcotics

Marco Ayala, 19, of Howell was arrested by the Jackson Police Department and faces several charges following an investigation in the neighboring township.  According to a press release posted on the department's Facebook page Ayala was arrested on Wednesday night in the parking lot of a shopping center on West Countyline Road.  Following the investigation Ayala was charged with possession of heroin, possession of xanax, distribution of heroin, distribution of xanax, possession of a hypodermic syringe and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Ayala was also charged in connection  with a burglary and theft in Jackson on May, 19 of last year.  Following his arrest Ayala was transferred to the Ocean County Jail in lieu of $50 thousand bail.

Howell Resident Arrested in Jackson on Drug Charges

One of three people arrested

The Jackson Police Department conducted an investigation on Dogwood Drive that resulted in the arrest of three people including a Howell woman. Nicole Aurisano, 28, of Deer Hollow Drive was arrested on Wednesday and was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, identified as cocaine and distribution of a controlled dangerous substance for the cocaine. She was also charged with conspiracy and distribution of a controlled dangerous substance within 500 feet of a school zone. She was released with a summons.  Also arrested were 51-year-old James Barry of Jackson and 38-year-old Joseph Kearney of Allentown. Jackson Resident Arrested for Making Terroristic Threats

Adam Clayton, a 24-year-old Jackson resident, was arrested by the Howell Police Department on Wednesday following an incident where he is alleged to have threatened a woman with an imitation handgun. Detective Sgt. Eileen Dodd said at 3:45 Wednesday afternoon the department received a call from the woman who said that a man had pointed a gun at her and threatened to kill her while demanding drugs or money.  Dodd said the woman provided police with a vehicle description, the license plate and the direction the car was traveling. Squankum Dive Team Helps With Jackson Search

Remains found near Lake Enno

A dive team from the Squankum Fire Department was one of several local first responder groups to help with a search in Jackson on Friday morning. According to a press release from the Jackson Police Department the search began at 10 a.m. this morning for a male off of Bennetts Mills Rd. On Thursday night the man's car was located in the area and an initial search was suspended close to midnight because of darkness and "heavy foliage," the release said.  This morning the remains of the man were found in the river, 100 yards away from the Lake Enno Spillway. Howell Resident Charged in Jackson Shooting

Investigation involved Howell and Jackson officers

A Howell resident faces several charges after an incident this weekend that was resolved with assistance from officers from the Howell Police Department and neighboring Jackson.  According to a press release from the Jackson Police Department, on Sunday at around 1:50 a.m. they responded to the Jackson Mills Road area about a reported shooting in the area of Chandler Rd.  The person who reported the shooting told the officers that she had gone into Howell with her son to get some belongings from an ex-girlfriend, the press release said. After leaving the house they were reportedly followed back into Jackson by "a male acquaintance of the ex-girlfriend."
