Marlboro High School Cheerleaders Give Back to Sandy Victims

The Marlboro High School Cheerleaders prepared and delivered sandwiches to Belmar residents devastated by Hurricane Sandy.

The cheerleaders of Marlboro High School decided to use their cheerful spirit to brighten up the lives of those negatively affected by Hurricane Sandy, according to a release issued by the Freehold Regional High School District. The cheerleaders prepared 150 sandwiches from donations for Belmar residents who were displaced from the storm. "As the students prepared and delivered the sandwiches, I had the opportunity to watch them offer their words of kindness to strangers. I am not only a proud coach, but a lucky one, because not all coaches get to work with such an amazing group of children who would do so much for others," Coach Lauren Segarra said. Thursday: Freehold Regional District to Hold College and Career Fair

The fair is schedule for Oct. 25 at Marlboro High School.

The Freehold Regional High School District is inviting parents and students to its annual College and Career Fair at Marlboro High School. The event, which is restricted to FRHSD students, is represented by almost 200 colleges and universities as well as technical and career post-secondary educational institutions. The event time are cateorized by the following grade levels: Each student receives three tickets for the fair during school hours and proof of residence and grade level are required. Tickets must be presented at the door. Parking for Marlboro High School parents and students will be at St. Gabriel's Church across from Marlboro High School.
