PHOTOS: Howell Holds Annual Holiday Festivities

Christmas Tree and Menorah Lighting held at new municipal building

For the first time the annual ringing in of the holiday season was held at the new Municipal Building and with an estimated crowd of close to 600 people the first time looked to be a rousing success. Having held the event at the old Town Hall in years past the new location allowed for many of the same amenities and attractions just with a new setting.  Do you have pictures from the event? Annual Tradition Gets New Home at Howell Municipal Building

Christmas Tree and Menorah Lighting Dec. 11

For many years residents of Howell have rung in the holiday season with the annual Christmas tree and menorah lighting at the old Town Hall on Preventorium Road.  With the township moving to the new Municipal Building on Route 9 Director of Community Relations Steven Fecher said the annual tradition will get a fresh start in the new location as well.   The event is scheduled for Dec. 11 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. and will include many popular features that residents have known in the past. There will be music and singing, hot drinks and snacks and of course a visit from Santa.
