Two major application cancel on abbreviated panel meeting
It was the Planning Board meeting that nearly wasn’t on Monday as two of the three applications scheduled for hearings took a pass. The big one, put forth by a company calling itself ASP Wall LLC, proposed an 80,000-square-foot warehouse building and six 15,000-square-foot buildings — a total of 170,000 square feet of buildings — along with associated parking, drainage and utility facilities on a tract at Belmar Boulevard and Birdsall Road. Topic once again dominates board's agenda
At Thursday night's meeting of the Howell Township planning board, there were five applications on the agenda for billboards that if approved would be placed in various parts of town. Much as they had done at their first meeting of the year the board members expressed their concerns with various aspects of the applications. While some were approved, one was tabled and one was unable to finish their hearing due to time constraints.
