Township Provides Update on Current Road Conditions
Utility work and downed wires contribute to road closures
The snow from the recent storm is starting to melt as the temperature rises but residents are still seeing road closed signs throughout the township. In its latest update the administration said work is continuing to not only restore power to all residents but also open all the roadways in the town. Route 9 is returning to normal operation with only the lights at Georgia Tavern Road and East 5th Street still inoperable. Route 547 is also closed from Oak Glen Road to Victory Road. According to the township "JCP&L is on the scene and has shut power to the live wires on the roadway." The township said the company is estimating two hours for the repairs to be completed.
