UPDATE: High Speed Chase in Tinton Falls Leads To Crash, Two Deaths
Car reportedly fled after being stopped by police
Two occupants of a car that was involved in a high-speed chase with the Tinton Falls police late Wednesday night are dead after a crash in the borough. Monmouth County First Assistant Prosecutor Richard Incremona said two Tinton Falls police officers stopped a 2008 Subaru Impreza with three male occupants on Shafto Road around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday night. When one of the officers approached the vehicle, he spotted a .380 semi-automatic handgun in the car, the assistant prosecutor said. Incremona said the officer grabbed the gun and immediately alerted the other officer about the gun.
