Police: Freehold Man Fled From Wall Burglary, Arrested After Gas Station Theft

"The burglary was interrupted by the resident who was arriving home. Two suspects were described by area residents, a female suspect that fled on foot out of the back of the house and a male suspect that fled in a silver pick up truck," said Brice in a police statement. Wall Planning Board To Hear Belmar Boulevard Warehouse Pitch

170,000 square feet of warehouses targeting Belmar Boulevard at Birdsall Road

The Planning Board at Monday’s regular meeting is scheduled to take up a proposal  for numerous warehouses on Belmar Boulevard near the Howell boundary. The application, brought by ASP at Wall, proposes to build an 80,000-square-foot warehouse building and six 15,000-square-foot buildings — a total of 170,000 square feet of buildings — along with associated parking, drainage and utility facilities on a tract at Belmar Boulevard and Birdsall Road. Project targeting tract at Belmar Boulevard and Birdsall Road straddles Wall and Howell townships

A project that calls for the construction of seven warehouse buildings on a Belmar Boulevard parcel in the extreme west of the township has raised the attention and concern of neighboring Howell Township’s deputy mayor. The applicant, ASP Wall LLC, wants to build an 80,000-square-foot warehouse building, and six 15,000-square-foot buildings — a total of 170,000 square feet of buildings — along with associated parking, drainage and utility facilities on a tract at Belmar Boulevard and Birdsall Road. A portion of the property is located in Howell. The first hearing of the project was held Monday at the Planning Board’s regular meeting. The presentation exceeded the 50-minute time limit. Another meeting was scheduled for December. Howell’s …

Hurry Up And Wait

Construction slows traffic to a crawl on Route 34 North

Construction at Route 34 and Belmar Boulevard has traffic piled up on the state highway passed Hurley Pond Road as vehicles are funneled into one lane and the intersection's jughandle is closed. Traffic is being detoured onto Megill Road for turns onto east- or westbound Belmar Boulevard. Avoid the area if you can.
