Qdoba Celebrates Grand Opening at Freehold Raceway Mall

The new restaurant is described as a fast casual Mexican grill.

The nearby Freehold Raceway Mall welcomed its newest restaurant on Monday with the grand opening of Qdoba Mexican Grill. Conveniently located where the former Johnny Rockets was, Qdoba offers shoppers a fast casual dining experience outside of the food court. It features classic Mexican dishes and a large dining area both inside and directly outside the restaurant. “Everything we serve is made here on our premise and brings our quality of food to another level. When we are not serving customers, you can see our employees smashing avocados to make our guacamole,” explained Tiffany Thrasher, a Regional Marketing Specialist for Qdoba. Freehold Raceway Mall Becomes New Home of Qdoba Mexican Grill

The Mexican restaurant will have its grand opening on Monday, April 1.

Qdoba Mexican Grill is coming to Freehold on Monday, April 1. The Freehold Raceway Mall location will celebrate its grand opening, by giving every guest who visits the new restaurant between April 1 and 7 a Qdoba Rewards Card preloaded with a free order of chips and queso. Adding to the excitement, the new Qdoba will also give 10 guests Free Burritos for a Year. Throughout April, guests who fill out a registration form at the restaurant will be entered into the giveaway, and 10 lucky winners will be announced on April 30.  All of Qdoba’s meals are handmade in front of guests and topped with personally selected fresh ingredients, including one of five distinctive salsas. Freehold Raceway Mall Owner Presents New Luxury Development Project

Macerich, owner of the Freehold Raceway Mall, has teamed up with Roseland Properties to bring a multi-use property to Freehold Township.

The Freehold Township Committee gave owners of a potential new multi-use property their blessing to proceed with presentations to the Master Plan Committee. Roseland Properties and Macerich, owners of the nearby Freehold Raceway Mall, have teamed up to bring a new commercial and residential development to the Trotters Way area of Freehold Township.  During the March 21 committee meeting, Committee members listened to presentations about the potential new property, which would feature luxury apartments, neighborhood stores and other amenities. The new development would be built near the Freehold Raceway Mall and would require the property to undergo a zone change from a commercial use zone to a regional mall zone. The new property would …

Police: Morganville Man Conceals Lord & Taylor Watch in Shirt

The man faces one criminal charge after he allegedly attempted to steal a watch from Lord & Taylor.

Freehold Township Police arrested a Morganville man after he allegedly attempted to conceal a watch from a department store at the nearby Freehold Raceway Mall. Jesse A. Jecas, 21, of Sussex Road, was arrested on Wednesday, Feb. 13. According to his complaint warrant, Jecas attempted to leave Lord & Taylor while concealing a watch inside his shirt. The watch was valued at $250. Jecas’ complaint warrant notes that a Lord & Taylor employee stopped him from leaving the store. Jecas has been remanded to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution (MCCI) on $1,000 bail.

Newark Resident Accused of Shoplifting Designer Handbags

A Newark woman allegedly attempted to shoplift two Michael Kors handbags from Lord & Taylor.

Freehold Township Police charged a Newark woman with shoplifting after she allegedly attempted to steal designer handbags from a Freehold Raceway Mall department store. Coulette K. Stokes, 46, of Holiday Court is accused of trying to take two Michael Kors handbags from Lord & Taylor on Wednesday, Jan. 23. According to Stoke’s complaint warrant, she concealed the bags under her dress. Together, the bags totaled $676. Stokes has been remanded to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution (MCCI) on $5,000 bail.

Wall Man Accused of Looking into Mall Dressing Room

A juvenile was in the process of disrobing when the man allegedly looked into the dressing room.

A Wall resident is accused of looking into a dressing room of a Freehold Raceway Mall clothing store. On Tuesday, Jan. 22 Dennis R. Perry, 35, of Wall Township, was arrested by Freehold Township Police and charged with one count of invasion of privacy. Perry allegedly looked under a dressing room door of the clothing store Cotton On while a juvenile was in the process of disrobing. According to Perry’s complaint warrant he has a prior criminal history and no fixed address. He has been remanded to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution (MCCI) on $2,500 bail.

Freehold Man Accused of Shoplifting from Sears

The man allegedly attempted to steal perfume valued over $200.

A Freehold resident has been accused of shoplifting from a Freehold Raceway Mall store. Odilio Rodriguez, 25, of Hull Ave, faces one charge of shoplifting after he allegedly attempted to take a bottle of perfume from Sears. According to his complaint warrant, Rodriquez was arrested and charged by Freehold Township Police on Tuesday, Jan. 15. The perfume Rodriguez allegedly attempted to steal was valued at $215. Rodriquez has been remanded to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution (MCCI) on $1,000 bail.

Woman Accused of Shoplifting from Mall Department Stores

Woman allegedly took over $300 worth of items from Macy’s and Nordstrom.

A Freehold woman faces two shoplifting charges after she allegedly took make up, perfume, clothing and Waterford crystal from two Freehold Raceway Mall stores. Laurie Martucci, 47, of Tulip Lane, was arrested on Wednesday with over $300 worth of stolen items. According to the complaint warrant, Martucci stole makeup from Nordstrom and took the other items from Macy’s. The makeup items were valued at $52 while the clothing, perfume and crystal were valued at $306. Matrucci has been remanded to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution (MCCI) on $6,000 bail.

Police: Chase Following Freehold Mall Incident Ends in Man's Arrest

The suspect, a 42-year-old East Windsor resident, was wanted in connection with an alleged domestic violence incident in Freehold Township, according to Lawrence Township police.

A police pursuit of a car being driven by a man suspected of being armed with a gun following an alleged domestic violence incident in Freehold Township on Friday, Dec. 7, according to Lawrence Township police. While Lawrence Township police ended their involvement in the chase soon after it entered Hamilton Township, the suspect – identified as Michael Scholander, 42, of Dennison Drive, East Windsor – was eventually stopped and taken into custody in East Windsor, according to Lawrence Township police spokesman Detective Sgt.
